A long bus trip turned into an even longer trip because of an accident that caused a big back-up on the autoroute from Paris to Belgium. But in the end, it was worth it. What a lovely city - so quaint, and so different from anything I've seen before. The architecture is remarkable, and then of course there's the lace, the chocolate, the tapestry, the beer and the waffles :) Our tour guide, Serge, made the trip most enjoyable for the 14 of us (2 English speakers, 4 French speakers, 2 Portuguese speakers, and 6 Spanish speakers!)
