Night lights

I've always loved early winter nights - getting into my pj's as soon as it gets dark :)) - but I also love the opportunity it presents to peak into windows before the drapes are drawn. Last night I spent a couple of hours strolling around the streets surrounding the Champs de Mars, home to the Eiffel Tower. Along one side there are mansions - mostly embassies, with back yards (and balconies and rooftop decks) facing right onto the park and tower. On the opposite side are apartment buildings, some old, some newer in style, but all with a magical view of the Eiffel Tower.

A local bar/restaurant on Rue St Dominique - very cozy, and very busy from 7 pm on

For Emily :)

Lots of security cameras in this area!

Prime location.....

....with this in your back yard :)

Night lights

There was still a long line-up to take the elevator up. No wait to walk up the stairs - and the price reduced to 5 euros

Look up - look waaaaayyyy  up!

Every hour, on the hour, and lasting 5 minutes, twinkle lights flash in addition to the normal lights.

Then it goes back to normal.

Twinklers back on again :)
